Sylvan Elves

The Sylvan are an elder race that used to dwell on Palboria. It is unknown how the Sylvan arrived on Palboria as the oldest known elven epics simply describe a sailing trip that ended on the main continent. Given the florid language the elves used in their epics, it's unclear if the trip was from another world or simply from another continent on Palboria.

The term "elves" is most commonly used to describe the race, with the term "Sylvan" being a specific description of the elves on Palboria. It is not confirmed, but suspected, that there may be other types of elves on other worlds.

Physical Characteristics

In comparison to most of the mortal races, elves are of an average height. Taller than most humans, but not as large as the orcs. Slight of build, they weigh far less than any of the mortal races except goblins, but are much stronger and more nimble than the mortals. Elves are also exceedingly fair; even those of dark complexion have delicate features.

Magical Abilities

As with all of the elder races, the Sylvan elves have an innate magical ability to shape their environment. The Sylvan are expert gardeners, and can manipulate plants in many ways, including shaping trees into massive elven cities.
