Byonjee
The Byonjee are extremely rare, extremely powerful books of unknown origin. They are so rare, that only fragments of five of them have ever been found. The only reason we even know of the other books in the collection is through the index in the opening fragment of the Chiet Byonjee.
Origins
It is not known who wrote the books or how old they are. Some scholars have even suggested that the books are not of Palboria originally.
Powers
Each of the authentic Byonjee have the following traits -
Legibility - The Byonjee are written in an unknown script that, somehow, is completely legible regardless of the reader's languages. Even those who are otherwise illiterate have been able to read sections of a Byonjee.
Ineffibility - The contents of the Byonjee are impossible to memorize or even copy. It is possible to convey some of the meaning of what is being read. Indeed, some information - such as the early history of the gods - has been repeated to scribes for preservation and distribution, but even these attempts are often wildly different from each other even when using the same fragment.
Supernatural - In addition to stories of the gods, the Byonjee also include formulae uncovering the mysteries of creation. The Sylvan Elves themselves have admitted that much of their understanding of magic began with things they learned in the Byonjee.
