Domain
Hellista is a god of light. Over time, human followers have expanded the concept of light to include purity and thus have appointed themselves adjudicators of the law in many communities.
Symbol
Hellista's symbol is a tongue of flame.
Appearance
Hellista rarely takes an interest in the events of mortals. When she does appear, she comes in the form of an extremely tall, stern woman, with local features, dressed in a pure white robe.
Worship
Hellista has several churches throughout the human realms. And while there is very little actual worship of Hellista, a lot is done in her name as her churches are often well-funded and very large. Structurally, churches of Hellista tend toward ostentatious, intimidating stone structures and this is by design.
Hellista's followers mostly concern themselves with opposing "evil" and "darkness", although it is unclear whether this is direct mandate from the god herself or a self-appointed role. Regardless of origin, how those terms are defined varies greatly with church leadership but one thing is common and that is that the churches of Hellista accrue much local political power. In some locations, churches of Hellista have become the magistrates, in others they've replaced the local legal system entirely.
