Dentros
It was Dentros who brought the animals to Palboria and taught them to inhabit the woodlands.
Domain
Dentros is the god of the woodlands. By extension, Dentros is also viewed as a god protector of the animals who live in the woodlands.
Symbol
Dentros is often associated with the head, or just the antlers, of a large stag. Antlers are frequently engraved in the altars to Dentros and the racks of particularly large stags are often incorporated into the construction of altars. The stag symbol stands for Dentros themselves, however. Followers of Dentros mark themselves with single silver or green enamel leaves, either as pendants or as brooches.
Appearance
Dentros has only ever been seen in the wilderness, and appears as tall as the tallest trees in the area. Dentros is bright white, the color of moonlight, and has been described as covered in fur or perhaps fog. Vaguely humanoid in shape, Dentros has a face combining canine features with those of a deer topped with bright silver antlers that reach into the sky.
Worship
There are no known churches or cults of Dentros. However, altars of Dentros are quite common in areas where hunting is a necessary supplement to the local diet. Dentros is never invoked to aid with a hunt, as that is the realm of Dalen, god of hunters, but the heart or best cut of meat from a recent kill is either left in the woods or left on an altar of Dentros as a way of thinking the god of the woodlands for allowing the hunt.
